Construction Details:
I started planning on Lilith last year, buying the tights and the boots. After staring at the reference pictures for ages, I started the actual construction in December 2007. Over my winter break, I was able to complete the red leotard and the large wings attached at the lower back. I used a muslin mock-up for the leotard first because I wanted it to be tight-fitting, rising just above my hip bones. Then about 3 months later during my spring break, I finished the costume entirely. The hardest part was figuring out how to attach the wings to my head. I ordered Wisp (Violet) from cosworx.com and wore a headband underneath it. To the headband, I attached velcro as well as to the wings for my head, and inserted the velcro part underneath the wig, in between the spaces in the wig cap.
Personal Thoughts:
This costume is my 2-year Anniversary gift for my bf. @ AX 2009, big thank yous to Shining Polaris for being my Morrigian Onee-chan! hands down the Sexiest Morrigian ever~!!
