Construction Details:: When I was chosen as a Dark mascot alongside RikkusFaith (FantasyNinja and HoodedWoman were chosen to be the Light mascots), I designed this. I love renaissance and gothic [era] designs, so I went with that. Honestly, the eye-patch was Roy's idea (he thought it would be cool to see one on a mascot, lol). There is stretch velour, lace, and peachskin fabrics, and EVERYTHING laces up. The dress, vest, stockings, boots, and even the garter belt has laces! LOL. My favorite part are the bat wings and the sword. Every bead was sewn on individually. More will be added to the lace drape by the con to simulate stars on the night sky. The edges of the lace drape were trimmed along the ferns and flower designs, creating a cool jagged look.
Personal Thoughts:: HATED MAKING THOSE SLEEVES! THEY THWARTED ME!!!! T.T I feel incredible hawt in this costume, and I love how no one recognizes me in it!! The sword and dagger belong to me. The sword (not the dagger, though) is combat-ready carbon steel made by the artisans at Baltimore Knife and Sword. Much love to ACP user Sangolov with her help with the hand-sewing...there was lots of it to do and not as much time (this had to be done for the same con as my Fight Card costume...)
