Construction Details:

This costume was made out of love for the series. My friend Pam wanted to do Natsume's school uniform and I decided to do Ruka's to match with her. She made the white shirts for us both but I made the rest of my costume. I already had the boots which I bought years ago and I have used them a couple of times for different costumes. I found the plaid material online and the shorts were relatively simple to make. I wish I did a better job on the ribbon though. (>.<);; Since Ruka always has a bunny companion I searched a lot of toy stores around Easter to find one to use. It was really hard to find a plain white, not too childish looking bunny. XD I wish I did a better job on the jacket. The material was really horrible to work with (I hate velvet) and modifying a pattern for the proper shape didn't work out very well. If I ever Cosplay from Gakuen Alice again, I may make the female version of the school uniform and just Cosplay Mikan. I'll definitely use a nicer material for the jacket if I do. XD

Personal Thoughts:

It was fun to wear the school uniforms at AN with my Natsume. We were recognized once or twice but overall Gakuen Alice is still very under appreciated.
