Personal Thoughts:

I heard about Furi Kuri from a friend at Brown during one of the anime club meetings and figured if it was by Gainax it must be on crack and therefore I'd probably love it. Which I did... I loved the character of Haruko, so crazy and spontaneous and such fun to cosplay! Just running around with a reason to hit people on the head with a guitar sounded great! I decided to cosplay her after only seeing two episodes ( Of course, I watched the rest after the convention and discovered just how twisted she really was.. ^^;). It happened to be three days before Fanime. So the costume was made in the most last minute manner you could imagine! I styled the wig at 4 AM the night before I was to drive down to the con. But for being so last minute, it's definitely one of my most favorite costumes to wear just because I feel like I can do ANYTHING I want when I wear it. It's true that you really can take on the personality of the character in a costume. Now all I need is a yellow Vespa... *evil chuckle*
