About this Costume
- Personal Thoughts:
- I learned a LOT about how my mom's embroidery machine worked with this costume! She has this great program that will scan in and digitize drawings. So I drew just about every single flower and stitch that was on Yuna's skirt and Obi, and that red flower thingy and embroidered everything! The biggest challenge I must say was the skirt. The flower embroideries on it had to be pieced together in sections, so I had to figure out placement for about 12 different flower/vines designs and how they would all go together (like a puzzle) and rehoop every time and just pray that it would embroider in the correct place! But all the planning paid off and everything turned out fantastic! The Obi was difficult because I don't even know how a REAL Obi is worn. I have a little experience because once Jenny actually tied one for me a lont time ago, but I didn't remember very well, so I spent a lot of time playing around with that and trying to get it to look right. The earring was the most painful part of the costume, by the end of the day my earlobe felt like it was on fire! It was so heavy!
