Personal Thoughts:

Felicity was my second American Girl doll, which I got in 1996. Like Samantha, my other doll, I really liked her character, but mostly, I loved her clothes! I had wanted to make her blue ball gown for ages, and when the theme for the 2007 Cosplay/EGL Tea Party was announced as Colonial/Revolutionary, I thought it would be the perfect excuse. Unlike my Samantha Christmas dress, I made this one myself, as I didn't care much for the official Pleasant Company reproduction and didn't think the child-size formfitting design would fit me well. Instead, I took the doll dress to the fabric store and found a perfect match. Using a modified Simplicity pattern, I set to work creating this.
