Cosplayer Lady Tenkage > Costume of Rydia from Final Fantasy IV
About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- This is easily the most detailed costume I have created, up to-date. The gown and sleeves are made from stretch velvet, and trimmed with a gold fabric that I'll have to replace, soon. Gold designs rim the edges in random curls and lines. The sleeves also have a thick, gold christmas ribbon up on top near the arms, and are secured with internal elastic. As a contrast, I found this beautiful, almost silvery, bright green. It's sewn into the sleeves to fold back, and more gold designs were painted on. The bodice is made from the same contrast green, with lots of gold bias tape as trim and detail. I found flower grommits, and use a pale, gold cord (which needs to be triple-knotted, to stay tied). For the rest of the costume, I made the hair piece out of a silk rose, hairclips, and three different types of ribbons. I made both the earrings and the necklace out of bead I bought, and the whip is just an old bullwhip we had lying around the house, that I touched up. The bag is actually a gift-bag someone gave some jams to me in, hah! Thigh-highs were bought at welovecolors.com, and the wig and boots both came from cosworx.
