I've been sewing my own costumes since 2007, and attending cons since 2005. Usually, my cosplays focus on manga and anime characters of the 90s, as they're the ones I grew attached to as a kid.

I'm rather con-shy and usually only attend one or two a year, but I do like to cosplay in groups when the opportunity arises. : )
