About this Costume
Construction Details:
I pretty much sewed the entire thing like 2 days before the convention and even the day of the convention i was rushing to finish it, which didn't end too well. Looking back on it now, i cringe a little bit, i had no idea how to use makeup, put my wig in a wig cap, or pose, so this was all a learning experience.rnrnthe vest was sewn by me, using some sort of thin fabric that i found on sale in the fabric store that looked pretty close to the pattern on Isabelle's vest. I made the pattern myself and for the most part hand sewed it, i lined the vest in bias tape and the pockets were also made using bias tape. rnrnI found the pencil skirt and blouse at a thrift store and i just tied a bow using some ribbon i bought.rnrnthe ears were made out of yellow felt which i attached to bobby pins so they'd stay in my hair (which they didn't for too long since it was very windy) and i sewed bells onto the ribbon holding together my bun.rn
Personal Thoughts:
she was a lot of fun to wear! I had a lot of people taking pictures and getting excited, which made my first convention / self made cosplay really fun! (even if it was a little messy and rushed, but aren't most first cosplays kinda groan worthy?)
