About this Costume
Construction Details:
I drafted the patterns for everything. The jacket is made from polyester suiting with lining on the inside of the collar and satin for the trim, shoulder loops, insignia on the front, and the armband thingies. The pants are stretch sateen. The belt is pleather with a velcro closure. The cape is suiting and lining and is attached to the jacket with velcro. The necklace pendant is mat board painted with acrylic. The boots were bought a long time ago from an online costume store for use with another costume (I originally intended to make boot covers but realized it was more complicated than I was prepared for). The rose is just a fake rose I got at Michaels (it has little fake water beads on it!).
Personal Thoughts:
This is the first fully handmade costume I've finished and although it looks all right from a distance it's quite sloppy and a little inaccurate to the source material. I made this costume largely to be part of a Zeon cosplay group at Katsucon 2014 although I was considering cosplaying Mashymre a while before the group was coordinated on Tumblr. Gundam ZZ isn't one of my top favorite series but Mashymre is probably my favorite Zeek and his uniform wasn't terribly difficult to pull off. I really wish I got more and better pictures of it at Katsucon but we'll just have to live with what I got.

Wig Review
This wig came with a lot of the right layers already cut into it which made trimming it a little easier. However, Mashymre's hair is rather wispy whereas this wig is thick so I wasn't able to achieve the exact look I wanted. At least the color is accurate.
