While prohibitively expensive, it allowed me to achieve a cosplay I've wanted to do since I was a child, albeit updated for the modern era: movie Batman. (Since I knew I'd never be a good comic book Bruce Wayne.)

While I also have Dick Grayson Batman on standby for upcoming shoots, this photoshoot and costume was, like Hayate from DOA only weeks prior, a coming together of different elements of the last 12 years of my cosplay life to make long time dreams a reality.

I hope to do more cool stuff with the suit, but until then, I'm happy to be able to have had a memorable and fun photoshoot with friends old and new to celebrate this milestone. ^_^

UPDATE (12/10/2014): After all the general shenanigans that have ensued from wearing the suit, two years straight of helping with an awesome holiday charity event for kids in LA, and numerous web video appearances with my buddy D-Piddy (whom I met as a direct result of said shenanigans), I can safely say that being the bat has been everything I expressed here and more. About this Costume
Construction Details:
The suit itself is the famous UD Replicas Batsuit (http://udreplicas.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=9), with a cape commission by a gentleman in Canada who utilized similar material to the one featured in the film, and a cowl found on eBay.

The suit itself is technically motorcycle armor (hence the restrictive movement and steep price tag), which makes it functional to some degree.
Personal Thoughts:
Very rarely do I get to say I was doing a "dream costume", and this is one of those few exceptions.
