Personal Thoughts:

Well this is a departure from my normal character that I portray. I usually see myself as the heroic noble character (I'm pretty sure I was born in the wrong age) but for this series we decided to go evil since we just don't look like any of the good-guys.

We found a nice ladies trench coat (any other guys out there find that woman's clothing is soo much easier to find?) that we tailored to fit me. A little bit of spare velvet loosely draped around the hem finished that part of the costume.

The shirt has actually made quite a few appearances and the pants/shoes were just regular old dress clothes.

But the real fun part of this costume was the snake clasps and lapel pins. I've really been wanting to get into the more crafty side of cosplay, rather than just sewing the clothing together, and this was my chance. We took FIMO clay, rolled it out, and coiled it into the shape of the snakes.

For my wand I went outside and found a stick that looked as close to Malfoy's as possible. After sanding, staining, and painting it looks pretty good at a distance. The real cool part was the snake cane I found at a renaissance faire a few months back. We couldn't pass it up.
