About this Prop
Construction Details:
Made this jacket as a gift for my mother last year. It's fully lined and handmade, from collar to hems. The most arduous part of it was making the convex lines along the front, which I pretty much made by wrapping the brown micro suede around thin rope and attaching through the jacket, but under the lining. This involved a lot of hand sewing. I also used official buckles and the badges purchased online from official BSG vendors.
Personal Thoughts:
We grew up with BSG - the good one, circa 1978. My mother, being an old school Apollo/Dirk Benedict fan, was surprised by this one. Methinks she wished it had Apollo come in the jacket, too. It could've used a defuzzing first, too... (Impromptu picture was impromptu.)
