Construction Details:

I had the chance to practice my leather working skills with this costume. I made the vest out of Italian cowhide using a modified Renaissance pattern. The leather is dyed teal and painted to add texture. The vest zips up the front with an invisible zipper and then clasps with metal buckles. The pants, boots, and belts I bought and modified. For the prop I wanted something I could actually get hit with, so I carved a frying pan our of insulation foam, covered it in fiberglass and painted it black.

Personal Thoughts:

When I first saw the trailer for Disney's Tangled, my friends, family, and I were all shocked at my resemblance to the main character, Flynn. When the movie finally came out, he reminded me so much of myself I just had to make this costume.
