Construction Details:

This costume. DIS COSTUME. This is what I labored on (on and off, mainly off XD) for about 14 months and delayed several times. A combination of very finicky, heavy, thick, unusual materials and meticulous destruction, dissection and re-patterning turned this into a hugely time consuming project but when I first fell in love with Q-Jack underneath all that STUPID armor I swore to myself I would do this when I had the skills and means to do so. The main obstacle was that where a normal jacket front piece is made of one piece of fabric, I had to draft, measure and assemble together 16 individual panels to make the whole individual piece, which means that jacket has an excess of 35-40 panels in it all told. Waauuugh. But yeah, no regrets, and I apologize if the reflectiveness of my upholstery vinyl gives you a brain embolism. Any true fan will tell you; SUCH IS THE PRICE OF IIDX COSPLAY!

Personal Thoughts:

There are still a few semi-minor details missing as this was the beast that just never wanted to be finished. I'm missing a Roots 26 decal on the left leg, as well as the shoulder pauldron that sits on his left arm. EDIT: Pants deals finished. Still working on the pauldron and the white boxes that sit at the base of the hood. Gettin' there... FINAL EDIT: It's fuckin' DONE! Now to start on a new IIDX costume trollololololol.
